About Dr. Woodruff

Dr. Woodruff is a board-certified dermatologist who listens, educates, and works closely with patients to create personalized treatment plans. She has comprehensive expertise in a wide variety of dermatologic conditions, including skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair and nail disorders, among many other conditions. She has a special interest in contact  dermatitis and patch testing, a technique used to identify the cause of skin rashes.

Dr. Woodruff immigrated to the United States from Brazil at age 10. She attended public school in Orlando, Florida, and was the first in her family to attend college in the United States. Her own health struggles as a teenager ignited a deep passion for medicine, inspiring her to become a physician dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care that empowers others on their path to healing.

She obtained her bachelor's degree at Harvard University, where she was on the Dean's List and won the Harvard Psychology faculty prize for her honor's thesis while working all semester to defray the cost of education. She then attended medical school at the Yale School of Medicine, where she received honors in all clinical rotations and was recognized as a Farr Scholar for her research in dermatology. She completed her dermatology residency at the esteemed University of California San Francisco, often cited as the number one dermatology residency program in the country. Following graduation, Dr. Woodruff served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology, Director of Medical Student Education and Associate Director of the Contact Dermatitis Unit at UCSF for several years prior to relocating to Dallas with her family. She is now the founding director of the Epiphany Dermatology Clinic and Contact Dermatitis Institute in Dallas and an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M School of Medicine.

In 2022, Dr. Woodruff and two dermatology colleagues launched VETTED Dermlab, a hypoallergenic skincare line designed especially for patients with contact dermatitis and sensitive skin. In addition to being an entrepreneur, she has published numerous scientific articles and is a regular speaker at national conferences. She is fluent in English and Portuguese, proficient in Spanish, and enjoys caring for patients of all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Last but certainly not least, Dr. Woodruff is a devoted wife and mother to her daughter Sienna, son Hugh, and dog Poppy. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family, traveling, reading, and being outdoors. With top-tier training and expertise in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Woodruff combines evidence-based care with a patient-first approach, making skin health simple, effective, and stress-free.
